Nora Anderson, Owner/Director of Anderson Canine Training LLC, is a graduate of Animal Behavior College. Nora has also earned various degrees/licenses
in Teaching, Social Work, Insurance and Real Estate. Her three adult children and her granddaughter are her pride and
joy and training pet dogs has become her life. Nora understands the need for quality dog training as the numbers of
re-homed and euthanized pet dogs keep rising. Over the years, she has trained many dogs and realizes the importance
of positive reinforcement based training. Establishing Anderson Canine Training to promote the dog/human relationship
is a "dream come true" as she continues her education through seminars, reading and training. Nora
is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and aspires to their code of ethics and the use of non-aversive
training methods. Her skill and knowledge serve her well as she hopes to bring the world of dog training
to the families of Oakland and Genesee counties.

Training Philosophy
Anderson Canine Training advocates the
use of positive reinforcement and negative punishment (withholding of valued rewards or attention), without the use of force,
in the shaping of new behaviors. These techniques provide safe, humane and effective dog training alternatives to the
dog owner. Understanding the importance of interspecies communication allows us to go beyond the mechanics of obedience
training.
MISSION STATEMENT
Nora Anderson and Anderson Canine
Training are dedicated to the advancement of the dog/human relationship through humane leadership and structure using only
positive reinforcement methods. With compassionate, solution based training, we are dedicated to preventing the re-homing
or eventual euthanasia of pet dogs.
